Gregory A. Ruf
Chief Executive Officer
As chief executive officer and majority partner, Greg provides strategic leadership to MBA Focus™. He is a 20-year veteran of the MBA recruiting business and is considered to be a leading expert in the field. In 1987, he founded Resume’ Link, one of the first computer-based recruiting services. Resume’-Link was acquired by BrassRing in 2000, and Greg continued to direct many of that company’s business units before joining MBA Focus™. Greg also is a partner in several other businesses, including Data Management Consulting, an IT consulting firm; and Career Services, a firm that provides outsourced career services to professional membership associations. Greg graduated with honors from Bowling Green State University in 1986, with a double major in finance and economics. His senior year, he was president of Mortar Board national honor society.
Michael A. Miller
Vice President, Finance and Administration
As vice president, finance and administration, Mike is responsible for ensuring the stable but fast-paced growth of MBA Focus™. He also provides the financial data and input that enables management to make strategic decisions about the company. Mike brings more than two decades experience in the financial field to the task, including seven years in public accounting. Since joining the private sector, he has held positions from controller to chief financial officer with several central Ohio firms, including Resume’-Link. Most recently, he served as vice president, finance and administration for central Ohio’s convention and tourism organization, Experience Columbus. Mike is a graduate of The Ohio State University and holds a CPA license in the State of Ohio.
Traci Davidson
Chief Information Officer
As chief information officer, Traci ensures that MBA Focus™ is technologically prepared to handle rapid growth while continuing to provide superior service to school partners and clients. She also directs creation of the company’s technology solutions – including Global Talent™ Systems – and meets the challenge of customizing new technologies to each school’s unique business process. Traci brings 15 years experience in IT services to MBA Focus™ and its clients. Her experience ranges from developing software to managing large IT initiatives for Fortune 500 companies and major universities. Traci holds a bachelor of science in computer science from Bowling Green State University and a master’s in business administration from Franklin University. She also earned the Project Management Professional certification.
Heather Krumpak
Vice President, School Relations
Heather Krumpak is the vice president, school relations, and a co-founder of MBA Focus™. Her role at MBA Focus™ is central to the company’s success: She maintains all school partnerships and ensures smooth delivery of services to the school. Heather also is focused on developing the company’s growing alumni career services offering; and was instrumental in helping the IT team develop the innovative Global Talent Systems software package for career services offices. Heather previously worked with chief executive officer Greg Ruf as a corporate account manager at Resume’-Link, helping the company’s corporate clients streamline their MBA recruiting activities. Heather is a graduate of Ohio University, majoring in communications.
David J. Hoy
Director, Business Transformation
Dave has been immersed in the MBA recruiting business since 1990. He helped pioneer the first MBA resume database products that were distributed to recruiters and has devoted the years since in providing viable products and services to career services offices and corporate recruiters. Before joining Resume’-Link in 1990, Dave specialized in custom business application development, performing analysis, design and development services for organizations that were early adopters of PC-based technology solutions. He graduated magna cum laude from Franklin University with a major in computer management.
Bruce Lane
Vice President, Corporate Sales
As vice president, corporate sales, Bruce is responsible for directing all U.S. and international sales activities, building a strong sales team and providing critical strategic input for corporate products and services that meet customer needs. Bruce brings more than 15 years in recruiting, staffing and consulting, plus several years in university career services, to MBA Focus™ and clients. He served as regional vice president for two of the world’s largest recruiting and placement firms and in management for career services offices at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. He received his master’s in business administration from the University of South Florida and his bachelor of arts from Marietta College.
